Eternit?
It's certainly good that the lady is concerned about your health, but it's not exactly anthrax spores we're talking about. Those who are sick with asbestos today have often worked unprotected with asbestos for years. Not to downplay the risks, but there's no need to exaggerate eithersynpunkter said:
Thank you for the tips! I'm ruling out the vinkelslipen. That idea of wrapping properly sounded clever. I'll have a proper think and check with cleaning companies about an approximate price.
They don't know that. You have to state your municipality at the reception. Being (honest) as I am, I said that I lived in a nearby municipality. My municipality has an agreement with the recycling station, which I thought also covered asbestos. But it seemed that it only applied to household waste.
But after some discussion about why there was an agreement with the company in the first place if it only applied to household waste, when my municipality already has a company that takes care of that, they probably thought it was best to get rid of me, troublesome as I was. So I got to dump the asbestos for free. When I clean up the rest of the basement, it might happen that I state a different place of residence at the reception.
What annoys me is that they claim the disposal is expensive, and therefore outsiders have to pay so much. The depot is nothing but a small grove where the hazardous waste has been dumped and covered with soil, not even particularly carefully or thoroughly. When you walked in the area, there were torn plastic bags with asbestos material fully visible everywhere. The ground was covered with crushed asbestos cement. Probably took more asbestos home with me than I left there. Cozy place!
