Anyone knowledgeable who knows what kind of wall this is. Suspecting it's some kind of special gypsum? I've been thinking about mounting a 21kg heavy TV, but I'm unsure if Molly plug or zinc gypsum plug would work on this.

The wall's thickness is about 20mm.

  • Close-up of a wall with a round hole showing cables inside, possibly to assess wall type for mounting a TV. Wall appears about 20mm thick.

It looks like regular plaster with some kind of wooden board behind it. In that case, use a regular wood screw, 6-8mm.

It is a common recommendation here on the forum. Why? If there is wood to screw into, you use a wood screw. Besides holding tight, you avoid drilling a gigantic hole in the wall. WinWin.
