Drywall - difference in quality??
2x6 hardly makes any sense to use, so 2x13 (usually it's actually 12.5mm) is what is meant when referring to double plasterboard.oderooy said:

Many, or almost all, lay the gypsum along with the framework and that's wrong..
so if you, for example, have 90x240 gypsum then most people space the studs at cc 45...
But in reality, you should space the studs at cc 40..so that you're screwing into 6 studs instead of 2 studs...
when gypsum boarding walls, you lay the board in the opposite direction...

cc 30 is probably not entirely wrong... if you use 2 layers you can space it wider..mats_o said:
I've also installed perforated gypsum where it had to be cc60... but then you had to have T-splines in the joints..
