Hello!
As we are installing fiber, I will need to drill a hole in the ceiling in the basement to pass a network cable up to the middle floor.
They will place the central unit in the same room where the heat pump is currently located.
My idea is to drill in the corner (see image) and then the exit hole will be appropriately positioned in the room above.
Anything special I should consider before doing this? How can I ensure that I don't drill straight through a water pipe/electrical conduit?
Is it best to use a hammer drill and then pull a PV pipe and run a cat6 cable through the pipe?

Why not enter through the exterior wall on the floor above? Are you thinking that the cable should go up through the floor or up through the wall and then on the outside of the wall?
And what kind of central unit is it? We have a small fiber box on the wall that then connects to the converter.
If you drill, it's important to take it slow and easy. If it's concrete you're going through, you'll need a hammer drill. Otherwise, you might manage with a long and narrow wood drill.
