Door frame dimensions don't match?
Hello,
First time I'm installing a door in a wall.
I have purchased a 30db Dooria from kompanjonen ( http://www.kompanjonen.se/produkter/innerdorr-dooria---8x21-30db-hh-ljusgra ).
Now it says on the website that it is 79 cm in width, but when I measure the lintel, it is 83 cm long. Have I missed something or? No one creates door widths with lengths like 83 cm in width, but if so, why do I get 83 cm when I measure it myself?

The frame's outer dimensions should be 79 x 209 cm, but you measure the width at 83 cm.
1) Have you assembled the frame correctly?
2) Are you measuring correctly?
How wide is the actual door? Does it fit in the frame?
It's a bit hard to believe that there's something wrong with the mass-produced product.

No, then I measured the lintel directly in the packaging.
Now I have laid everything out, and apparently, it is 89 cm in width... close there. The door itself was also about 82 cm wide.
I guess I'm doing it right now by making the door opening 90 cm when the door frame is 89 cm wide?

Congratulations!
I believe that 90 is the width required for wheelchair accessibility.
So now you have a future-proof construction
