Hello!

Building partition walls in an insulated and heated standalone building/garage where on one side of the wall it will be a storage/workshop and on the other side a guest room/office.
45*70 studs with 450 cc.
It will be OSB on the inside with single plasterboard outside mainly for sound insulation. My question here is do I need to put plasterboard on the side towards the storage area? In this room, sound insulation is not important. Stability and support for wardrobes/shelves will already be provided by the OSB board. I plan to plasterboard the side facing the guest room/office over the OSB.

The property is quite secluded without disturbing noise from, for example, traffic, so additional soundproofing is not important (since these are interior walls).

Suggestions?

No. The gypsum serves certain functions. It makes it easier to get a smooth, even surface to paint or wallpaper. It doesn't move, so cracks don't form as easily in the paint and wallpaper. It reduces the risk of fire spreading. It provides some sound insulation.

So, if you don't see a need for any of those properties for the storage room, gypsum isn't necessary either. I've had many storage rooms over the years that only had OSB or plywood as walls.
