I am going to partition a room in the basement. I've torn out everything including the Platon mat. There was glue and fiber residue on the floor slab that smelled but has now been sanded away. I don't know if it was mold but my hope is to simply rinse off the Platon mat that was there and put it back again. Do you think that's okay? There shouldn't be anything microbial stuck to it that could cause problems/odors, right? Should I brush it with something?

What should I do with the metal studs for the new interior wall? Should I:

1: Cut open the Platon mat and attach the studs directly to the concrete.

2: Install Platon + foam + parquet and then fasten the stud directly on the parquet and screw through everything down to the concrete?

I should mention that there was a moisture damage issue that has been addressed in the basement. It has also been newly drained. I will still continue with Platon and ventilated baseboards there.
