Hello!
I have a Smålandsvillan that was delivered in two parts. There is a gap of a few centimeters between the two parts of the house. After a period with cold thresholds, I got the supplier to place insulation under the thresholds. A friend suggested that I should insulate the entire way between the house parts (e.g., with foam) to prevent cold (and humid) air from being transported up between the interior walls. I don't know how it is finished up towards the insulation in the ceiling, as the insulation is sealed with glass wool and chipboard.
I would like to run some installations through this gap (wires). There doesn't seem to be much material in the interior walls (insulation, plastic sheeting), see the attached image. Does anyone see a problem with running these wires through the air gap?

You definitely seem to have a point, it sure feels a bit like a missed thought.
One gets a bit curious about how things might be in 10 years????
Should one really have to do the caulking oneself in a house ordered "ready-built" in 2006?? >:(
Good factual post, good luck//XII
