I'm going to take apart a wall (concrete blocks) that is joined with stone adhesive and rebuild it. Any tips on how to do it without damaging the blocks?

It might be possible to saw the glue joint with a (discarded) handsaw?

We removed some top stones that were glued. Then I heated them with a heat gun, making it possible to twist and break them off.

Awesome, thanks for the reply!

Heated it thoroughly as it took a while before the glue became like chewing gum.

Ok, then "just" scrape off the glue while it's hot? Or was that not necessary?

Depends on how much glue is there. I sanded off some glue with the angle grinder once it had hardened and then reassembled the top stone. When it became soft, I pried a bit with a crowbar and wooden wedges, and the stone at least separated from the others.
