Yes - thinking along similar lines but can't find any direct info on it.
SUBOPTIMIZATION
Create a budget and compare the cost to how many good drinks you could have bought.

That's the whole point, having a drinks cellar, not the drinks themselves

I have another house where there's a cellar with 2 fairly large vaults... quite tempted to build an apartment there with a wine cellar

Hmm, I'm rather looking for a cellar for a house on a slab. I think a wine cellar could become dangerous :)

Hmm... The people I bought the house from mentioned something about someone named Fritzl...

"Rustic basement with an exciting history" as our real estate friends would have described it.

Lift the house and dig down some prefab tunnel elements.
Concrete prefab tunnel element partially buried in soil, with an open space inside, suitable for construction projects.

Looks nice. Lifting a 1o1/2-story 150 square ytong house with a brick facade and concrete tile roof on a slope out in the sticks might not be the easiest though...

Modern basement bar with circular wine cellar hatch in floor, sleek stools, and ambient lighting.

It would have been interesting if something came of this old project!
