We live in an archipelago cottage from 1920 where the previous owner built a bathroom and tiled for the old baking oven. The baking oven is out of operation, and the flue is plugged.
To the question: We are facing a renovation of the bathroom and intend to remove the baking oven to create more space. Are there any pitfalls with that and especially could the baking oven part have something to do with the construction of the chimney? I'm thinking, could it have any supportive or load-bearing function?

Is there anyone here who has experience with this?

I have a baking oven in one of my houses. It is completely built into the chimney, and cannot be easily torn down (not that I want to, the baking oven is an invaluable part of the house).
Is it just the oven, or are there more fireplaces?

One or two pictures/drawings would have made it easier.

I will see tomorrow if it's possible to take a descriptive picture. As mentioned, it was summoned today.
