I am going to put up a decorative wall with white bricks indoors in my apartment.

The floor was laid a couple of years ago and is impossible to remove without having to demolish several rooms.

The wall differs in length and height depending on which corner you are in, so I can't start directly from the floor as it would result in uneven brick rows and not look straight. There is a difference of about 10 mm on a wall that is 2840mm wide, so it is visible that the floor is higher in the middle than on the sides.

How can I level it out so it looks right?

I have drawn straight lines both horizontally and vertically on the wall with a laser.

My idea is to attach a tiny support strip at the bottom by the floor to get a straight first line to build from and then remove it once the brick wall is in place, but then I will be left with a gap at the bottom after everything is finished.
