Anyone have any ideas on how to make nice "fake beams" to have indoors just for appearance? Some pictures would be fun☺ Thanks in advance!

This is apparently big in the USA, google 'fake beams' and you'll get a plethora of suggestions!

Okay, no I didn't know that but interesting😊
Then I'll take a look at them in case they're worth having👍😊

What price:/

Can't you talk to a joinery or sawmill about fixing a real beam so it looks a bit old? If you're going to cover studs, maybe they can hollow it out.. if it doesn't have to be oak, it shouldn't be more expensive than polystyrene at Bauhaus but light-years more attractive!

I covered the visible rafters in the roof truss with a U made of regular facade boards that were then battered with an axe and hammer and stained. Turned out great. And cheap.

Do you have any pictures of how it looks now?😊

Just cut down some spruce trees and then hew them with an axe to get genuine hand-hewn beams in any thickness you want.
It's actually much simpler than people think.

I only found a really bad picture of one out of five. No longer live there...

Ceiling corner with white wood panels, black beam, and a round netted light fixture. Dark patterned wallpaper and curtain visible at the bottom.
