Hello,

I have aligned the studs in the house that rest on steel beams embedded in the concrete slab. We have a basement under the concrete slab.

Do we need to lay an age-resistant moisture barrier against the concrete before adding insulation and laying chipboard and underfloor heating? Or is this unnecessary? The house is from 1931, and everything seems to be dry.

Previously, there was felt, with gravel and shavings on top.

Is the basement unheated?
