I replaced my water heater today because the previous one broke. It was easier said than done. Now it's done anyway, but there's a leak in the compression fitting to the heater coming from the hot water. I see now that it's screwed on crooked; I tightened it several turns and didn't notice this as there is very limited space. The question is what I should do now. Can it be unscrewed or will it spew out 300 liters of water? Or do I just have to drain it again?

Regards

By the way, it drips very little. A drop every 15 seconds maybe...
