Hello, I have a problem. The craftsmen have cast posts outside the door to my greenhouse where ground irons are inserted. It's just that the door is so close to the ground that I can hardly cover the concrete/ground board. I tried to cover with a thin layer of soil, but when I open the door, parts of the soil are scratched away.
I thought I would then lay a ground cloth over it, but it is pulled under the door. I wonder. Now the concrete is cured and XPS is meant for insulating in the ground, not above the ground. Shouldn't I be able to take a knife, saw (or what is the most appropriate tool) and dig out and cut off a 5 cm edge down. Then cover with soil?
I can accept that the concrete sticks up and is visible a little, but it bothers me that the XPS board is showing and exposed to UV light!
How can I best cut off the edge without it crumbling too much?

That the concrete is visible doesn't matter and there is nothing that can be done about it. But I wonder if I should dig out the xps board on the side and cut off 5 cm. Xps is like an edge around, but the door scrapes away the soil every time I open the door.

I think you're onto something... ;)

Yep, tonight I cut off 5 cm - it went very easily with a saw. Then I covered it with soil and it seems to work!
