Hello,

I'm looking for tips on how to fix this opening. As you can see, the plasterboard is a bit damaged near the door frame, which in turn is not wide enough. How can I make this opening look nice?

  • Damaged drywall near a door frame, showing gaps and an uneven surface. The wooden frame appears too narrow for the opening.
  • Damaged drywall near a door frame, showing uneven edges and the need for a solution to make the opening look tidy and complete.
  • Damaged drywall next to door frame with screws showing; seeking advice on fixing the opening and widening the frame.

Put white lining all around

Yes, but there will be a gap between the door frame and the trim. Use some sealant in the joint?

S
you can put in heel lining
screw in the screws. so that you don't get stuck in them

I was also thinking about klackfoder, the small klack is placed in line with the doorframe?

No.Do not align the heel lining with the edge but place the lining in the middle of the edge so you get a small "fals" there.

Oh, thanks. It makes sense...

I think the assembly looks a bit rough, I usually use mounting adhesive and three brads only.

Stefan N, absolutely. The other side is just glued and this one will be replaced with a glued one as well. :)
