Cottage foundation stove insert 1.5 tons
Hello, We are going to install an open fireplace with an insert in our house which we are renovating, and it will weigh 1.2-1.5 tons.
The fireplace will be located in a corner, see PDF, and there is a floor joist against the wall on the left of the picture and the center-to-center measurement of the other joists in the foundation is 1.2 m. The joists have a dimension of 15-20 cm. I have drawn in concrete blocks as supports in the picture, but I don't think that will be enough. How would you ensure that the foundation can support the fireplace?

Insert the drawing as an image instead..
Edit: generally don't know how to do it, but my Keddy Superfire which is built of lättklinker, where the chimney (single-story house) stands on the stove, is built from the ground and up through the floor structure ...

Hello,
We are planning to install an open fireplace with an insert in our house, which we are renovating, and it will weigh 1.2-1.5 tons.
The fireplace will be located in a corner (see PDF), and there is a floor joist against the wall to the left in the image. The center-to-center measurement of the other joists in the foundation is 1.2 meters. The joists have a dimension of 15-20 cm. I have drawn in lecablocks as supports in the image, but I don't think that's sufficient. How would you ensure that the foundation can support the fireplace adequately?
