Corrosion protection for VKR and HEB

I am going to build a light concrete house with various recessed VKR columns and HEB beams.
I'm currently getting some quotes on the materials and wondering how to handle rust protection.
Is it foolish not to buy this pre-treated from a company, or can I just as well buy rust protection paint at Jula and brush it on?

Buy pre-primed steel beams! The beams are sandblasted and then primed at the factory; the paint is rustproof, and you can weld through the paint without any issues.
