I have built a small storage shed - about 1.5 x 3 m - with loose timber. The roof is a simple sloped roof - sloping backward. However, the corner posts ended up a bit too short, which made the roof slope a bit too steep, and the interior space a bit too cramped.
Can I "splice" the corner posts afterwards with, say, 50 cm to raise them? If so, how do I attach them to the existing posts?

you can make a fork and tongue joint. glued and screwed/nailed.

if you glue end to end and use a perforated plate on all 4 sides (70x70 stolpar). Can it work?
The question is whether it might be easier to dismantle and replace the post in its entirety. If there are screws/nails that are tricky to remove, you might be able to saw it off with a reciprocating saw or jigsaw to facilitate the dismantling.
