Connection between truss and beam in canopy

Hello

How do you do what is drawn here in the nicest and best way? I preferably didn't want to place the truss on the beam to gain a little height.

Now I am a happy amateur, but I would probably finish the "takstolen" on the inside. Attach it with construction fittings (balksko, I think it's called). Attach the external piece first, e.g. with a through screw from the inside.
