Got the advice from someone who has worked with concrete that it would work with fine concrete and the last layer self-leveling compound.

A bit of a difference in cost as well, about half the price.

But... it might be more expensive in the long run if we have to redo everything!

What do you think about the time before we can apply the self-leveling compound?
 
Wait 1 week and you'll be on the safe side, it's only 2 cm you've cast, it dries quickly. Use leveling pins when you're going to spackle, it will work out fine, you'll see. Set up a laser level or spirit level so you get even levels everywhere. Follow the instructions on the water level on the bags, if you use less water, it will be difficult for you to pour it out and get it nice and flat.

Absolutely.
We're going to renovate the kitchen soon, so there will be a lot of traffic through the entrance; we'll probably level the floor after that, around mid-October!
