Coming home and the whole ceiling has collapsed :(
it's not the fireproof boards I bought.sune73 said:
in their installation instructions, it says cc95, but in the picture, it says cc195...
exactly, I have to take it as a learning experience, the boards seem to be quite intact, so I can probably put them up again
but then the question is how to do it, the roof is framed with about cc350, so the boards do not fit in width and were laid crosswise. since they are cut to fit that direction, I thought I’d put them up that way again.
the idea is to reframe with a batten so it's about cc180 and then attach one of these clips on each batten, i.e. cc180 then approximately.

I want to avoid nailing in the middle of the boards, but maybe it's necessary?
Mounting adhesive as extra insurance sounds like a good idea. I will use something MS polymer-based next time this type of roof panels are to be installed. I think the hard PL400 and PL600 do not measure up. MS polymer is best for almost everything. (I am almost religious on that matter) Thank you for letting me learn something good in this thread!
I'm not really fond of glue. I'm thinking it might be good to be able to dismantle sometime...
but maybe I should apply some mounting glue and...

Absolutely!
Buying clips and glue today...
I think the clips, which are attached with 1 (one) nail, look very flimsy... but maybe the nail holds better than I think.
Then maybe I can use the nail gun a bit in the middle of the boards and cover with some latex sealant.
If you nail in the beadboard, it shouldn't be too noticeable.

If you're going to nail in the middle, use board nails directly on the board, pull lightly through, but in wood, the nails hold extremely well.thestrut said:Yes indeed!

Ha ha missed that it wasn't a gypsum ceilingfremax said:
I bought completely smooth panels but they were installed with nails and clips. Screwed in the outer edges where the trim hides the holes.
Haven't fallen down yet
Edit
The clips and nails from Hornbach were worthless, I thought. Bought new ones at Beijer instead, which were stronger.

Dyckert is called that, trådspik can be a form of dyckert, trådspiken is cut wire, dyckert is what you should have, then if the different sellers prefer one or the other, I don't know, dyckert with a conical head is what you should use.
It's not the same, disc nail is similar to felt nail but galvanized and thin, about 1.4 mm round flat head.Pagno said:
