Hi
We are building a wardrobe with IKEA sliding doors in a room with a sloped ceiling, so we're building the wall. One part of the wall will be attached to a room wall, and the other will be "loose" with an end wall up to the attic space.
The room already has click parquet flooring, so the wardrobe's floor rail will be parallel on the parquet. The question is whether it is OK to screw the wall directly through the parquet into the chipboard? Or should we drill a larger hole in the parquet so that it is not fixed with the screws? Or is it possible to glue/tape the floor rail?
The room will only be used as a wardrobe and storage, so it doesn't matter much if there are minor damages to the parquet.

Parquet in the form of click flooring needs to be able to move to prevent cracks, etc. when humidity and temperature change. It should be possible to attach the steel profile with double-sided tape provided it's not so heavy that the floor can no longer move a few mm.
Since the steel profile looks like this:BirgitS said:

I have to place it on a beam plus a few cm more to be able to get the hook into the door. No wheel on the door foot, so the entire weight will be on the upper steel profile that is attached to the ceiling, but it will probably exert more force on the floor beam. This is roughly how it will look against the floor:
