According to current regulations, the free height of a staircase, measured from the stair nose, should be 2 meters. But what applies to a landing? Our landing will be located under a slanted wall, with the free height from the stair nose (on the landing) being about 2.5 meters, but 50 cm into the landing, the free height is 2.0 meters before decreasing further.
Should the free height be measured along the walking line on the landing, and if so, where does it go? Or should the entire landing have a free height of at least 2 meters?
I can mention that I am also looking at other solutions such as a curved U-staircase.

One usually counts the clearance in the walking line, even on the resting platform.

I was considering that too but couldn't find anything to confirm it.

Received a response from the building inspector now.. They believe that there should be a free height on the landing that corresponds to the rest of the stair width, i.e., 900mm.
