We are going to replace a shabby plastic tension ceiling from the 1980s with some kind of painted ceiling panel. Does anyone have experience with this? Hornbach only has foil-coated ceiling panels, Bauhaus has both foil-coated and painted. What is preferable? I looked at a Swedish one called....hmmmm Hubonit or something like that, has anyone used this?

install self-adhesive foil ceiling panels in all rooms (currently there are old tretex-like tiles)...
it's convenient to work with if you have a nail gun and air compressor...
120x60 chipboard panels that are foil-covered, various brands are available, but I think they are all more or less the same (except if it's supposed to be "limed oak" or such patterns)...
