I am going to lay chipboard flooring and am reading the installation instructions.
It states
"For screwing, screws intended for fastening
wood to wood or wood to steel, fully threaded –
electrolytically yellow zinc are recommended.
Dimensions 55/4.2 or equivalent"
When I search online, almost all particle board screws are partially threaded. What should I use?

I have never seen fully threaded chipboard screws. I also think it sounds like a bad idea since you want a screw that pulls the board against the stud. Out of curiosity, I checked the instructions for other brands, which don't mention threading but the figures show partially threaded screws.

In the Norwegian part of the instruction, it doesn't say anything about full-threaded and that is the original language. So perhaps a translator who threw in some extra technical terms to show off a bit maybe

Interesting to see if they have an explanation. But I would have chosen a standard partially threaded chipboard screw regardless of their answer.
