Hi,
I have two bay windows (I'm not sure about the terminology but you can see what I mean in the pictures
) and I'm wondering how the heck I should replace/paint the paneling and fascia boards safely.
The roof is quite steep but one way I've considered is to remove the roof tiles and stand on the battens.
Tips are gratefully received!

Can't get in with a skylift at the back (chain house and large hedge delineate). Had been considering borrowing some ladders (of the type one normally has up to chimneys... http://www.byggmax.se/tak/takpannor/taksteg-universal-svart-p05530

A scaffold where the floor level is at the height of the gutter.
Then remove a few tiles so you can stand a bit better.
You need a scaffold if you want to do a good job; if you're wobbling, it won't be good and it's also dangerous.
Renting a section of Haki scaffold doesn't cost much. Make sure to have all the materials at home so you can do it in a couple of days.

I used roof steps when I replaced the panel on the side of my dormer. Although my roof is "only" 40 degrees, and the roof steps are far from a perfect solution, I found it much better than standing on individual protruding tiles like I did the previous year.
