Hello knowledgeable forum friends!

I live in a 1.5-story house where we are going to renovate one of the children's rooms (about 8 m2) on the upper floor.
We've decided we want to choose ceiling panel type from Byggmax:
https://www.byggmax.se/innertak-p1026

Can this be installed by one person or should there be two?
Can screws be inserted with a screwdriver or is a nail gun needed?
Anything else to consider?

Thanks in advance! :)

I have installed this in several rooms. Almost 80 sqm.

It's perfectly fine to set up with just one person, only the first panel is a bit tricky.

I read that drywall screws were recommended for this, which has worked well for me.

Remember to get the first row straight, otherwise, the error will build up and might only become visible after a few rows. It's a hassle to redo everything then.

Unfortunately, not all panels are completely straight, but that's perhaps to be expected for the price.

It should be stated in the assembly instructions in the package what type of mounting is recommended :)
Follow the tips from Fredrik above and it will be great!

Thank you for your answers!

Do you use a regular screwdriver?

Noted! :)

There is a slanted ceiling on one side of this room and a vaulted ceiling (the previous owner has divided a larger room into two by putting up a wall in the middle). The room therefore looks like a "wedge" in cross-section.
We will build a new sound-insulated inner ceiling at about 2.4m.

What is the technically correct construction:
  • 45x70 studs?
  • 600 cc between the studs?
  • Furring strips 28x70?
  • 300cc between the furring strips?
  • Do we start laying the ceiling boards from the side where the ceiling transitions to a 45-degree slope, i.e., to get full boards against the "ceiling break"?
  • It is a warm roof in the vaulted ceiling that we are enclosing: should we have an inspection hatch in the inner ceiling so we can see what it looks like above this?

Then it was done. It turned out really nice with the huntonit panels and the ceiling moldings.
Also replaced window casings, installed insulation and fixed a windowsill.
The biggest find was the ceiling prop for the huntonit ceiling. It cost 199 SEK and was worth every penny.
