I can't find much information on my question, which is about installing a new ceiling on the lower floor of a split-level house with a siporex framework. I've heard that there are variants that can be glued directly onto the ceiling, but I'm not sure if that's good from a moisture perspective. Since the ceiling height is only 2.30 meters, I don't want to add height. This is just for the feel in a bedroom. Does anyone have any tips?

Are you just after a smooth surface?

It's possible to glue plaster to siporex, but it's not fun on walls and probably really hard in the ceiling.

The best option is likely to let a painter spend a few hours plastering the ceiling and then painting it to get a smooth white ceiling.
