Hello

I am going to install a ceiling in a small space with very low height.
So, I want the ceiling to extend downwards as little as possible.
There are ceiling beams with about 1.2m between them now.

The space is approximately 1.5 x 2.4 meters and it's a sloped ceiling. Not much, really.
There are three beams, one on each side and one in the middle (of the 2.4 meters, that is).

Any tips on materials and installation? It doesn't need to be anything fancy.

I was considering a 6mm träfiberpanel, which I have at home. But it will probably sag if it's only attached with a 1.2m interval.

The best option is probably some form of construction plywood. How much does the roof slope?

Good thinking. I should have figured that out myself. Thanks!

The slope is 27 degrees.

Hello I put a roof on an outhouse a few years ago, back then a stable, now a garage. cc1200 12 mm plywood. Tested beforehand (at a low height) that it could withstand walking on from above. It felt safer that it would hold before I got the floor on the loft in place. Now it's been there for 4 years and still looks okay. Some boards weren't perfectly flat during installation, where some edges warp a bit, but no visible changes over these years. Right or wrong? It has worked so far, at least. If I were to do it in a living room, I would think a bit more about how to lock the boards together at the joints in all directions.

When calculating deflection due to its own weight, it should work even with 9 mm k-plywood, although 12 mm is better and more commonly available as stock. Vänerply (Moelven) has plywood with beveled edges for more invisible joints.
