I would NEVER accept this. NEVER. This is not a craftsman who did this...

The screw for the dishwasher… is usually screwed upwards, but if the screw has to go on the side, you should consider a spacer or something similar.

The screws in the threshold look like a shed someone built...

That someone can leave it like this whether they're a craftsman or not is impossible for me to understand.

How many people get help and end up with crap because someone messed up, you have to wonder...

Then they've hammered the threshold so that the paint is chipped. Then you have to paint afterwards….
Why are screws screwed upwards? I'm very ignorant about screws and stuff… thanks for the explanation. I'm in the process of writing feedback to the craftsman, including clear pictures and what I have remarks on.

There may be different ways, but the ones I have installed have been screwed up into the countertop. Then maybe it won't work for various reasons. At Ikea, they have an angle bracket with plastic clips.

but the threshold still takes the prize...

the floor behind the stove, I believe, matters less as long as the wheels/feet at the back don't end up outside and cause it to tilt backward.

Thank you! Very valuable input. Thresholds were read before, but they were okay anyway. Now with screws, cracks, chipped paint.... Now I'm also wondering if I should check behind all the moldings because it seems like there's only 1-3 mm distance to the wall in many places. What are the risks of consequences? Do you know that? Or anyone?

But wait... there are double thresholds too... ‍‍‍
would guess there's a bathroom hence high threshold

one threshold is between the hall-living room, the wide one. The other between kitchen-hall. In hindsight, why didn't I instruct them to install the floor without a threshold between the hall and kitchen? I thought the professional would make it look nice but I see my responsibility in it all. Next time I will have a super detailed checklist for every single detail to avoid misunderstandings or mistakes. Wooden threshold installed between different floor levels, with visible screws and slight misalignment. Wooden threshold between rooms, showing screws and connection detail on oak flooring.

meh.. you have parquet on both sides. Additionally, there are thresholds with edges.

My eyes cry blood when I see the screws used for the thresholds.
Regarding the floor: wood is a living material and must be able to move with the seasons as it shrinks and swells. If the distance is too small to something fixed, like a wall, the floor cannot move sideways as it wants, and it starts to push upwards instead. The result can be an uneven floor, with waves, etc. But this is basic knowledge for someone dealing with wood and undoubtedly something that “the one who did this” SHOULD know.

Call the person responsible at the firm. If they send the same craftsman, say no. This is below all criticism.

the light "threshold" looks like part of an old countertop...

it's harder to have flooring without thresholds because it places enormous demands on the distance to the wall and other things to be correct.

if you have too little distance, the floors will start to lift. Maybe not noticeable, but you feel it when you walk on it.

if you have too much distance, you will see the gap against the molding when it shrinks.

I'm not even a craftsman, but I would never have considered using such screws... Horrible.

regarding the dishwasher, I would have at least explained how it would be to the person I was doing the job for before installing it.

Thank you! I understand that it's not easy to do entire flooring, but I used to live in a house, it was 75 sqm of flooring with an integrated kitchen-living room-hall on one floor. I think professionals handle that. I regret not thinking to ask for a "complete" floor, but there's nothing to be done. I'll make sure the threshold gets fixed at least.

It's a one-man business and the biggest mistake of my life is here. The job is paid for, I noticed the mistakes afterward. Now I'm nagging about fixing them and it's not entirely without friction. I was focused on other things when the job was done (work, etc.) and happy that it looked nice, so I didn't think to do a proper inspection. Learned my lesson!! I've learned in the past not to buy cars from friends, now I've learned this. It's nice to gain knowledge even if it's a bit problematic.

That makes it much harder.
If he (assuming it's a he) doesn't come and fix this and thinks it's an okay result, then ask if he thinks it's okay for you to post the company's name and a link to their website (if they have one) because it would be good advertising if he is satisfied with the result.
If he doesn't rectify it, post a warning thread about the company anyway!
