Can't get the 120/200 bed up the stairs, the post that's in the way is load-bearing and goes down to the floor. My thought is to saw the post diagonally and then screw the thing together. Just find a nice saw
What do you think?

  • Staircase with a wooden banister and a bearing post marked for cutting, preventing the movement of a large mattress upstairs.
  • Wooden staircase with a railing and a red coat hanging on hooks, in a home interior.
  • Wow

Have you tried standing it up, it looks like there's room...

Are you sure you need to have the bed standing, it looks like there's plenty of space...

You don't happen to have a balcony so you can send the bed up through the balcony door then?

If you place a ladder for the bed to slide on, a couple of people up there holding the bed with ropes or straps, and a person standing on the ladder pushing, it goes in a jiffy.

Doesn't help to remove the legs from the bed if it hasn't already been done.

How does the bed look, a couple of photos from different angles wouldn't be wrong.

  • A wooden bed frame leaning against a wall in a room with parquet flooring, next to artwork and a curtain.
  • Person measuring stairwell wall with a ruler.
  • Wooden staircase with a person holding a folded measuring stick, next to a red coat and a small window on the wall.

I am convinced that it is possible to take the slightly tilted one upright..

Is it an Älvsbyhus?

A colleague had the same problem in his new LB-house and he had to take it through a window on the upper floor instead.
