Vattenfall rents cabinets:

Rental of construction power cabinet = 630:-/month, regular electricity consumption (standard electricity tariff for consumption).

Okay, I thought Vattenfall only rented to their own customers. Now I've decided to go with the actual facade meter cabinet directly. I found cabinets for rent at Hyreshuset, but it got so darn expensive.

Right decision. :)

What kind of cabinet is it??
Can one arrange it themselves or MUST you rent one??
Is a small one like this sufficient:

(Elbjörn Mini)
No, it usually involves large metal cabinets. The ground connection is supposed to terminate in the cabinet. There are likely three fuses and an electricity meter there. Additionally, there is probably a suitable socket for your Elbjörn in the cabinet (red three-phase socket, 16/32 A). I have never rented such a cabinet, so these are just somewhat qualified guesses. ::)

Sollentuna Energi did not allow me to connect the "real" electricity directly; instead, I had to have construction electricity first. But their cost was only 1000 SEK for connection and disconnection, which wasn't so expensive compared to other providers. I was still able to use the real cabinet, so I didn't have to rent a cabinet! Thanks for all the tips!

Taking the opportunity to slip in a small question in this excellent thread;

If the summer cottage that we (we) own is already connected to the power grid, there shouldn't be any additional connection fee for the villa, right? Although the summer cottage will be after midsummer, that shouldn't make any difference, should it?

No.

Granted, the summer cottage is after midsummer but that shouldn't matter, right?
Que? ???

Understand the Que't there. The summer cottage shall be demolished after midsummer. I think a small word might have been left out there ;D

Think a little word was missing there ;D
Ahaa! ;D

No, it is the property that is connected to the power grid, not the building.

sitting here and marveling at all the knowledge that exists here, so I thought I'd ask a completely different question about electricity connection.
Today we have an overhead line leading to the small cottage that exists on the plot where we are going to build, and I heard from someone that you are not allowed to keep this, but must bury the line even though it is outside the detailed planning area, does anyone know if this is true ???
it kind of feels a bit unnecessary

Have never heard of anything like it. There are plenty of old houses that are connected with overhead wiring. But if you're unsure, you can always call your grid company and ask.

It may be that when building new constructions, there is a requirement to bury the cable, but already existing buildings are allowed to keep the overhead cable.

Today I called our network company and they do NOT connect the regular electricity unless the cabinet is attached to the house.....:(

In other words, it's construction electricity that's needed, and I'm considering, like someone else did in the thread: Can I buy a small panel at Classe and install it in a metal cabinet and connect from this? Or do you have to rent an expensive cabinet to get electricity during the construction?

Tried to get an answer from the guy at the electric company but you'd have to search far and wide for a grumpier fellow....:(

Exactly! :)
That was the way they didn't want to do it... that's how I had planned from the start.

But it's possible to do the same thing but connect construction power? ???
What must the facade meter cabinet contain then?
