Construction power cabinet ?
We connected directly to the electricity meter. The small construction panel was central enough...Bob_the_builder said:I make a living by explaining things to people.
How was it with your installation, did you have to set up a central panel in the cabinet, or are you ALLOWED to connect directly to the meter?
In my own case, it wasn't relevant because we had a small building on the property where we have the electrical panel+16 amp outlet.
Kalle dozen and Bob the builder, how much do you think you saved with your "smart" solution?
Damn that I'm not knowledgeable about electricity, I'm still not quite getting it hehe. Suppose I'll have to call an electrician and ask otherwise.

As a comparison, I can mention that we rented electric cabinets from Vattenfall (network owner) and paid 700 SEK/month (including VAT) for the little pleasure.
A tip is to register cable guidance with your network owner before construction starts, it costs nothing. If you don't do this, you risk having to pay for the repairs of a potentially cut cable.

Ridiculously much money, that's all I know. Vattenfall charges at LEAST 3 thousand to connect temporary power. In my case, it wouldn't even have been an option. They claimed they only connect a cable at the nearest electrical cabinet, which (before I got mine) was 200 meters away. I haven't even dared to think about what cable sizes would be required at that distance. Having 200 meters of cable lying in the forest (and over/under a road) during the construction period, which will be AT LEAST 18 months, didn't seem feasible either...M@ZE said:
Bob the Builder and K12, need your advice!
I just called Vattenfall, the electricity provider in my municipality. Regarding construction electricity, I got this response:
Vattenfall will connect and disconnect construction electricity = 2800:-
The connection when everything is done = 18,000 incl. VAT.
Rental of construction electricity cabinet = 630:-/month, normal electricity consumption (normal electricity tariff for consumption).
He said I could never avoid the 18,000 connection fee.
Nowadays, you pay the normal electricity tariff for construction electricity; previously, the consumption was much higher.
Now I am completely confused after reading your "work around" and what Vattenfall answered

Well, now you have a bit to think about.
Being able to run on regular electricity rates is very good.
What type of meter cabinet are you going to have for the house?
If you're going to have a surface-mounted one, you can install everything in it and save 2800:- plus the rental of a construction power cabinet. Place it on a pole and fasten it to the facade when you're ready.
If you're going to have a recessed meter cabinet, some of the idea falls apart because it needs to be installed on site, which means the cables have to be removed and reinstalled and sealed again. But it can be worthwhile depending on the costs for it (the electricity company here charges a thousand for it) and how long you plan to rent the construction power cabinet.

Do you know where one can rent cabinets? Sollentuna Energi charges 1000 kr to connect the construction electricity, so it wasn't that expensive. However, they do not rent out cabinets.
