Hello friends!
We have a house from '69 with embedded joists in a concrete floor and then joists on top of that, chipboard, and parquet. We want to have tiles in the hallway, so I thought about removing the joists the floor is on and leaving the embedded ones, then lining the surface like a pool liner with PE film and casting up with EPS (about 12 cm), then underfloor heating and reinforcement in 30mm leveling compound. What do you think about this? Any other suggestions? I would love to hear everyone's opinions

The hallway is only 1 month old and only had a small embedded stud. But the stud was dry and fine.G gaspedal said:
I only wrapped the walls to prevent them from drawing moisture out of the EPS. The EPS itself uses all the water when it burns.
I used Biltema's painting plastic or whatever it's called.
