Building an entrance roof against an additionally insulated facade
Hello,
2 years ago, the facade was additionally insulated with Isover's facade board. So now my "outer" wall construction is as follows:
Log frame - Facade board (80mm) - Battens (22mm?) - Panel (25mm?)
The battens are attached through the facade board using Isover's own spacers.
Now that I am going to build a roof over the entrance (approx 15-20 degrees slope, 2m deep), I am obviously wondering about the load-bearing capacity of the facade and how I should go about anchoring the roof to the wall. There are really no problems with having inner posts against the ground, but I would like to avoid this if possible.
- Does the current solution support only screwing the entrance roof through the panel and battens?
- If not, would it hold if I drive some huge screws all the way into the log frame? In that case, recommendations on dimensions would be appreciated...
- If I go with the solution with inner posts, then it's enough to screw against the facade and battens, right?
- Any other ideas for my project?

Hmm not properly securing the anchoring with construction in the wall can be a gamble. You have snow load and wind as well as self-weight to consider. Don't forget that the screws in the wall need something to hold on to, so I would build support legs in all situations. If you're going to refrain, you will need such rigid fastening elements that you must make holes in the wall.
Yes, it will be quite heavy considering that concrete tiles will be placed on the roof. At the front, the porch will stand on poles. By hole in the wall, do you mean that I should make a through-hole in the wall? In that case, no problem since the inside of the wall is not yet unfinished.
