Building an affordable storage shed
I am going to build a storage shed this winter/spring and just want some tips on how to build it as cheaply as possible, but with certain requirements.
It should be uninsulated and consist of 3 parts. One without a door and two with doors. One section for garden tools and one storage section. The open section is intended to be a wood shed.
The idea is to have a pressure-treated foundation with decking. The rest of the building has a board-and-batten paneling, and the shed can have that too. No windows, and the doors can be simply built.
I think it will be about 6*2 m. Insulated.
What is the cheapest roof?

Sorted-out timber from the lumber yard or hardware store can be a good idea. Even if a board or beam is damaged, you can usually get a piece that is still okay. If you then splice, laminate, or overdimension a part, it matters less if it's cheap.
The one the neighbor is just replacing or the one the neighbor replaced several years ago and now wants to get rid of, you often get used clay/concrete tiles, roof sheets, or plastic sheets for free, and sometimes you can even get paid if you remove everything.F Fixarjon said:
What material do you have on your current roof? Wouldn't it look nice to have the same roof and panel on the shed?
