Hi,
I am going to reduce an opening in an interior wall that is 175 mm. That is, build a section of wall on the existing interior wall. The existing wall is with plaster. Possibly some fire-special on one side as there is a fireplace in one part.

My question is how to build up 175 mm wall thickness? I can't quite figure it out when I calculate it.

120 mm studs
13 mm plasterboard (* 2 on each side) ((Or is a plasterboard 12.5 mm?!?))
= 172 mm wall.... (Or 170 mm wall if the plasterboards are 12.5 mm)

So it differs by 3 mm compared to the existing wall thickness.

And no, as you can see from both the sketch and explanation, I work in something other than carpentry... :D So, I would need some help and advice on how to achieve 175 mm wall thickness.

Super grateful for all help and tips.
