I will set the ceiling panel perpendicular to the ceiling joists. The problem is that normally there should be a lathing beforehand to hold insulation and plastic in place. But then I end up along the lathing with the ceiling panel and that won't work. Any tips on the best way to do it?

Place the glesen perpendicular to the rafters in the usual way. Then cut pieces that fit between each row of glespanels and nail them directly onto the rafter. You are thus extending the rafter with a glesen panel piece, bringing the rafter to the same height as the remaining glespanel, allowing you to nail the panel there. Of course, you need to make any necessary cutouts for electrical and similar things that need to pass through the glespanel.
