There will be no additional insulation, the question is whether I need to do anything else with the timber other than putting on windproof paper, nail battens, and cladding?
Those particular logs seem to be placed so tightly that caulking isn't needed, and if the entire facade looks like that, wind paper is sufficient. However, around windows and doors, it might be good to check if there is enough caulking there.
If the interior is (wind-)tight, for example through clay-plastered walls, then the sealing between the logs is less critical than if the logs will form an interior wall.
