I have an older house with a basement where there has been a wooden floor joist since sawdust, against the concrete vault. I have now removed all the wooden joists and sawdust. I plan to install new floor joists and insulate.
To my question: Should you use construction plastic against the concrete vault (previously the sawdust was directly against the concrete, dry and nice)?
The idea is then to lay chipboard flooring/self-leveling compound with underfloor heating.
Isn't there a risk of placing plastic that moisture might accumulate between the concrete and the plastic?
Does anyone know what the best alternative is?
Can you lay black wind barrier paper against the concrete and then insulation?
