Hello everyone!

I need some guidance... I'm using pellet bags for heating the house. I have the bags placed along one of the outer walls in the boiler room. To prevent the bags from lying directly against that wall, I placed a Platon mat as a spacer. Now that the last bags have been used, I see that it was probably not the best solution. The plaster has fallen off, and there were, what I believe, mold spores on the walls, which I have treated for mold afterward.

What should I do now? I have a lot of bags to carry in, but I want to solve the problem first!
Should I use steel studs, put up plasterboards, leave a gap so that air can circulate?

Have a great day!

Best regards,
M

The problem probably comes from outside; to make it completely right, you may need to address the drainage and moisture insulation on the outside.

The moisture from underneath the floor that seeps up into the wall + moisture from outside through the wall must be ventilated away. I would think that if you place the bags a few decimeters from the wall, it would be enough to get air circulation to remove the moisture? Ensure good ventilation in the room and try?

Drainage is out of the question, unfortunately
I was thinking about placing some pallets on the floor with plastic trays underneath and some metal brackets on the wall as spacers
