I've started renovating the basement. House built in 1964. In the recreation room, I've been curious about the floor construction, so I made a hole in the corner. It turned out to be constructed starting from the top. Concrete slab about 5cm, Leca balls about 10cm, then comes the bottom plate. This must be a very good construction with both capillary breaking layer and insulating effect that need not be touched? I'm going to install cork laminate, should I still use a Platon mat underneath?
