How could they cancel something that didn't exist? 🙂
Exactly! Orders don’t just disappear from systems like that. It doesn't happen.

Now I'm speculating (with some basis as I've worked with web/ERP) but my hypothesis is that they probably did a system update in their ERP (or some middleware) and failed to turn off the integration on the receiving side (i.e. ERP) so the web sent the order to the warehouse/ERP but there was simply no one to receive it and they have no (or no good anyways) systems to catch deviations.

If it had been something more serious, they probably would have tried to compare the systems to see that nothing had disappeared and most likely would have informed their customers. So maybe most likely they had some bumbling fool who messed up the update and thought, well, no one will notice that.. ;)

Yes, or more likely, they don't care. They've already been paid, why would they bother messing with fixing a delivery then?

My experience with Bygghemma has been extremely frustrating and far from acceptable. I ordered an external door, a sidelight, and a Yale lock for my villa, which is currently undergoing a complete renovation. The order was placed on April 21, 2024, and even though the Yale lock was delivered without issues, there were serious problems with the rest of the delivery.

First and foremost, I found out that the external door had been damaged during transport. This was after countless calls and transfers to different departments when I tried to find out where my door was, as the carpenters on site needed it. The transport company DSV informed me that the door had been broken (PS I don’t understand how one can break a damn external door) and I was referred back to Bygghemma for more information.

Despite several attempts to contact Bygghemma via both phone and email, I received unclear responses with email feedback taking at least 4-5 days delay. It is completely unreasonable. On May 19, almost a month later, I was informed that the sidelights I bought were out of stock with an unclear delivery date. I was offered a refund or to accept the damaged product with a small compensation, but it remains unclear what this "small damage" is and I am not getting any feedback.

The builders are on site and cannot finish the front...

In summary, this experience with Bygghemma has been the worst I've ever had with any retailer. Customer service is below par with unacceptably long response times. I absolutely do not recommend Bygghemma. If you're considering purchasing building materials, I advise you to turn to Bauhaus instead, where the customer service is reliable and you'll at least get the support you need.
Fully agree. Promises of delivery are the height of nonchalance. Have horror stories.

Recently ordered tiles from bygghemma/golvpoolen. They are the only retailer in Sweden that had these specific ones I was looking for in stock, and I didn't have time to wait for delivery from abroad if I ordered elsewhere. The day after, I received confirmation and a DHL tracking number with delivery the next day. The delivery went smoothly, well-packaged, and no hassle. A strange thing was that there was a different model number/name on the packaging, but correct on the small labels they had pasted on themselves. I called customer service, they answered within 10 minutes and promised to get back to me. 30 minutes after the call, I received an email stating that the factory had packaged these in the wrong packaging and they had added labels afterward with the correct model designation. Yes, they looked correct...

I have ordered other items via Bygghemma previously (with about 1 year between each purchase) and everything has gone well so far. That's my experience.
