I thought I'd check just to be safe if asbestos is also present in light-colored glue?

Carpet from 1977/78 in the picture glued to the concrete (slab on grade).

I would think that the risk of asbestos is zero, but wanted to check if anyone thinks otherwise since the glue is extremely tough and I will end up having to sand it off (=lots of dust). Asbestos was banned around 1975-76, which should also make the risk smaller...

Old green flooring adhesive on concrete, possibly containing asbestos; installed in 1977/78. Visible layer and surrounding debris, red and black hose nearby.

Yes, it can be in glue.
However, it is usually black, so I don't think that's asbestos (amateur assessment).
