Asbestos in vinyl flooring from 1969?!?
Hi (and help?!)
I have bought a house built in 1969, which I believe has an original plastic mat from when it was built that I've now started to tear up.
I realized midway through the demolition that it might contain asbestos, but I'm not good at this stuff!
I know that samples can be submitted, but I thought I'd see if anyone here can already tell if there's a risk of asbestos.
To explain the material, it's shaggy, woven fabric when you pull it up, and the plastic mat is a bit hard since it's old. Smells old but not moldy.
Grateful for help!!
Kind regards, Lovisa

I realized in the middle of the demolition that it might contain asbestos but I'm not good at this!
I know you can send samples but thought I'd see if there's anyone here who can already tell if there's a risk of asbestos?
To explain the material, it is fuzzy, woven fabric when you pull it up and the vinyl flooring is a bit hard as it is old. Smells old but not like mold.

Did you get an answer from the test?V visalovisa said:Hi (and help?!)
