Approximate price of "I" IPE beams
Hello,
I have started considering using an approximately 8.5-meter-long IPE beam to build a loft in the garage. The question is, what approximate price can I expect for one of these? Whether it's worth even considering or not.
I don't know which model and dimensions I should have yet, as I haven't gotten that far yet.
Best regards, Jonas

I should really have 8.3-8.4m actually. Which I could indeed transport with my car hauler, as long as I mark it at the back haha.Ljus said:
I want it completely open under the beam, hence why I'm starting to consider this instead.

IPE140 tends to hang around your span a bit.
I can't do it in my head, there are calculation programs.
But can your construction project be carried out with load-bearing sheet metal instead? It CAN actually be both simpler and cheaper.

This is what it looks like today. Had to "come up with something" to get the door up, and it became a frame of studs, which was intended to continue as a floor to the loft.S Snål-Jocke said:
