Happy DIY enthusiast in need of help since my brain apparently can't think.
I'm building a small deck at the front of our house and a staircase belonging to it. Since the staircase is being built over an existing stone staircase, I have had to work with what is there.
I am now stuck with the problem that I can't figure out in my head what angles I should cut my decking boards for the step.
Please, can someone just help me think or give me tips on how to proceed?

Is it that the trimmed side is not as long on the decking you cut at 90 degrees and 45 degrees? Of course, they can never be the same, with the same number of boards. Rip one lengthwise or let it go under the next joist so it is not visible, for those cut at 90 degrees.
Difficult to explain, but lay the boards over each other where they meet so you can find their intersections (edit: then cut the boards where they intersect), then you probably need to add some extra supports underneath based on where the intersections are. Otherwise, you can add a skirt so it matters less where the decking boards meet, but it might not look as nice.
I assume the steps are exactly the same depth on both sides of the "angle."
