Looking for alternatives to plastering the inside of the garage. The garage has 250mm thick lecablock with a moisture barrier on the outside that is below ground. Three out of four blocks are below ground. The block above is plastered. It stands on an insulated concrete slab.
I understand that it should be plastered on the inside so it can breathe. What alternatives are there since I would prefer gypsum or similar without adding too much thickness to the wall?
The reason is that the stone wall is not compatible with car doors/parts. That is, stone is a hard surface and I would like something a bit softer.
I was thinking of using 6 or 12mm gypsum, but is there a risk of moisture? Laminate flooring? Subfloor panel?
